How the object generator uses browser storage and request data.
Last updated: 2026-11-04
The generator
Object Lab generates physical object names in your browser. Choosing a category, generating results, copying a list, and saving an object do not require an account or payment. The generator does not send your generated lists, history, or saved objects to a server.
Data stored on your device
Recent history and saved objects use your browser’s local storage. Theme and language preferences may use local storage or cookies. This information stays in the browser profile where it was created and does not sync between devices.
Use Clear history to remove recent results. Remove saved objects with their bookmark buttons, or clear this site’s browser data to remove all local preferences and saved lists. Private browsing, storage restrictions, or clearing browser data can prevent saving or remove saved data.
Website requests
Loading a page or its assets sends a normal network request to the website host. The host can receive technical request information such as an IP address, browser headers, requested URL, and request time. This is separate from the object-generation process, which runs locally after the page loads.
Other services
Copying a result puts it on your device’s clipboard. If you paste it into another app or follow an external link, that destination’s own data practices apply.
Updates
Changes to the generator’s storage or data handling will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
